Music

At Bentley West, children will develop a deep understanding and appreciation of music through listening, singing, playing, evaluating, analysing, and composing a variety of Music. Children will explore Music from a wide variety of historical periods and different traditions. They will develop curiosity for the subject, learn about significant Musicians from past and present.  Throughout their time at Bentley West our children have the opportunity to take part in a variety of musical performances. Children in Y4 engage in whole class instrumental lessons delivered by Walsall Music Service. There are opportunities for children to continue this as an elective in Y5 and Y6.
